I Wrote This Today, Because Of This Girl At School...She Called My Pretty....But I Stopped Thinking People Were Pretty Long Ago...Because Of This.

Beauty

You See Me, You Say I’m…
“Pretty.”
You Don’t Know Anything Yet,
Because Really, I’m Ugly.
You Haven’t Seen “Pretty,”
Until You’ve Seen A Rainbow,
Streaking Across The Sky At Sunset,
Lighting It With A Colorful Glow.
Or A Butterfly,
Landing On A Dew Covered Leaf,
In The Morning Light.
Or An Ocean Reef,
With The Majestic Colors,
Ripples Of Water,
And Splashes Of Creatures.
Or The Blackened Night Sky,
Glittering With Stars,
With The Shine Of The Moon,
And Pale Streaks Of Clouds.
Or A Sandy Beach,
Overlooking An Emerald Ocean,
With The Sun Sinking Behind It,
Painting The Waves Orange.
Or A Freshly Bloomed Flower,
Opening Its Petals For The First Time,
Adding A Splash Of Color,
To The World.
Or A Sapphire Blue Waterfall,
Tumbling Over Smooth Rocks,
Crashing Into A Serene Pool,
With Sparkling Stones Beneath Surface.
Or A Rainforest,
Alive With Greenery And Sounds,
Water Dripping Off The Jade Leaves,
Dripping Onto The Fresh Forest Floor.
Or A Meadow Of Flowers,
With Dots Of Colors Here And There,
Swaying In The Breeze,
Their Aroma Rising Around You.
Or A Clearing With Freshly Fallen Snow,
The White Flakes Falling Around You,
In Peaceful Silence,
Making The Ground Shine.
Or The Call Of A Dove,
Singing In The Early Morning,
Causing Happiness Already,
To The Newly Awaken World.
And Even Rain,
Falling In Droplets From The Sky,
Making The World Green Again,
And The Life Returns.
You See, I Am Not “Pretty,”
Because These Things,
They Are What’s Known As…
Beauty.
